Check out the ‘Storm the Capitol’ board game commemorating the Jan 6 riot

As the three-year anniversary of the January 6 Capitol riots approaches, a new board game, “Storm the Capitol – TrueAnon Edition,” is set to be released. Created by the right-wing podcast TrueAnon, the game allows players to take on the role of a “Patriot” navigating their way through the Capitol building, collecting ballots, taking hostages, and confronting the police. Other players can take on the role of the Capitol police, attempting to stop the “Patriots” from reaching the roof with enough ballots to “Stop the Steal”.

Featuring cards such as Capitol police attack dogs and the ability to steal “AOC’s shoes” or “Pelosi’s laptop,” the game adds a level of complexity and strategy. At the end of the game, the outcome determines whether former president Donald Trump or President Joe Biden emerges victorious.

Despite its controversial nature, the game is being sold for $64.99 on the podcast’s merchandise website and is set for release on January 6. The hosts of TrueAnon have expressed their excitement for the release of the game, claiming it is for everyone in America, regardless of their political views, as long as they are comfortable with the game’s themes of violence and insurrection.

The release of “Storm the Capitol – TrueAnon Edition” has sparked outrage and controversy due to the deadly nature of the Capitol riots. The riots resulted in multiple deaths, and over a thousand rioters have been arrested and sentenced to prison for their involvement.

The game has sparked discussions and debates regarding its appropriateness and the impact it may have on society. Whether or not the game will achieve its goal of bringing back the “amazing feeling” of January 6, 2021 is yet to be seen.
