When Family Feud Goes Too Far: Man Stabbed Over Nude Photos on Social Media

A 28-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after trying to kill a family member with a knife, alleging that the victim shared intimate images of him on the Internet.

The nude photos were posted on social media, leading to Younouss facing ridicule within his community. Charged on December 18 in Paris for attempted murder, he is suspected of seriously injuring his cousin with a knife on December 15 in Paris (XVe) in front of their migrant workers’ residence.

At 3:25 p.m. on that day, the two men left the residence at the corner of Platon and Falguière streets. They argued before quickly coming to blows, during which Younouss pulled out a knife and struck four times, hitting the carotid artery twice, once at the temple, and once at the abdomen. Witnesses immediately alerted the emergency services, and the victim was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery, resulting in fifteen days of total incapacity for work.

The suspect fled barefoot and was apprehended after returning to the residence, confessing to the attack and citing a story of Malian sorcery as his motivation. He has been imprisoned at La Santé prison and is subject to an obligation to leave French territory.

This incident serves as a reminder of the potential consequences of sharing private or sensitive information on social media. It’s important to consider the potential impact of our actions and to treat others with respect and empathy. Let this unfortunate event be a lesson for us all.
