Countdown to Paris 2024 Olympics: Key Dates Revealed

The Paris 2024 Olympics is set to take place on July 26, 2024, and with over 200 days remaining until the opening ceremony, it’s important to take note of several upcoming key dates leading to this historic event.

On January 10 and 15, the first collective relays and individual bearers for the torchbearers will be announced.

January 16 will see luxury brand Berluti dressing the French athletes for the opening ceremony, with competition outfits designed by Le Coq Sportif set to be unveiled mid-January.

Aspiring marathon runners have until January 31 to sign up for a chance to participate in the Olympic marathon, set to take place on the night of August 10.

On June 7, the Olympic flame will depart from Brest en route to the Guadeloupe and other French territories, transported on the maxi-trimaran Banque populaire.

June 21 will see celebrations for the Fête de la Musique coinciding with the promotion of the Paris 2024 Olympics, with over 2200 projects already approved.

Finally, on July 18, eight days prior to the opening ceremony, the Olympic Village will open its doors to the first delegations, providing them access to their accommodations and sports facilities.
