Transforming the Hall de Paris into a Giant Game Room

On December 26, 2021, Tour de jeu transformed the hall de Paris into a large recreational space, offering a variety of games for both children and adults to enjoy without limits.

For a day, Tour de jeu set up an array of games under the hall de Paris, including board games, construction games, role-playing games, psychomotor courses, and wooden skill games. The event attracted numerous families, with children and adults engaging in various activities.

One example of the event’s success was 9-year-old Amina and her friends competing in a construction game to build the most beautiful house, under the supervision of an adult. In addition, groups of mothers and grandmothers were focused on completing puzzles while keeping an eye on their children navigating psychomotor courses. Cynthia aided two young girls in setting up a board game, which led to an enjoyable and laughter-filled game session.

As the afternoon progressed, families continued to arrive, and the hall de Paris came alive with activity. Children and adults participated in skill games, including billiards and Dutch shuffleboard. At the board game area, various groups were engaged in strategy games, showcasing high levels of concentration and engagement. Overall, more than 150 people participated in and enjoyed the event.

Tour de jeu is a mobile game center based in Mas-Grenier that aims to bring games to populations who may not have easy access to them, while promoting intergenerational and social connections. The organization receives funding from the town of Moissac, the State, the department, and the region to carry out its mission. Cynthia Parmentier, the head of the mobile game center, expressed satisfaction with the success of the event and hopes to continue the partnership with Moissac in the future. The positive response from the people of Moissac indicates a promising future for the organization’s initiatives.
