– Plans for a new mini retail park in Claughton-on-Brock have been submitted
– Proposed features include a drive-thru McDonald’s, a Starbucks, and a Screwfix store
– The retail park will have a mixed-use development with a café/restaurant, storage and distribution facilities, and light industry, as well as dedicated access from A6 Preston/Lancaster New Road
– The McDonald’s drive-thru is expected to create 120 jobs, the Screwfix-type Trade Counter will cater to local businesses and generate new employment opportunities
– The Starbucks drive-thru is expected to create more than 20 jobs
– Plans also include provisions for 120 car park spaces, 4 motorcycle spaces, and 26 cycling spaces
– The development is managed by J. Robinson Building Contractors
– Decision on the plans is still pending
