The series kicks off on Tuesday, Jan. 23 with a thrilling naturalist’s account of wildlife in Tanzania. Picture yourself immersed in the sights and sounds of the African savanna as the speaker shares their firsthand experiences with the majestic creatures that roam the untamed wilderness.

Then, on Tuesday, Jan. 30, brace yourself for an engaging discussion by Liz Bokram and Mark Fuller as they recount their birding expedition in Panama. Imagine yourself amidst lush rainforests, binoculars in hand, as they reveal the wonders of the avian world and the joy of birdwatching in a tropical paradise.

On Tuesday, Feb. 6, avalanche forecaster Dylan Craaybeek will take you on a riveting journey through the highs and lows of his career. From navigating the treacherous slopes of the Roaring Fork Valley to braving the rugged terrain of New Zealand, he will share the invaluable lessons he’s learned along the way.

And for the grand finale on Wednesday, Feb. 14, three extraordinary adaptive athletes from the valley will come together to shed light on equal access for people with disabilities. Prepare to be inspired as they share their empowering stories of conquering challenges and breaking barriers in the great outdoors.

ACES CEO Chris Lane expressed his excitement about the Wild Perspectives series, emphasizing that it’s an integral part of fostering a strong sense of community. He explained, “Our Wild Perspectives lecture series at The Collective in Snowmass Village is part of what we believe makes a community a community. ACES brings adventure travel and stories from the natural world home to Snowmass.”

He added, “Here’s a chance for everyone to hear stories from Africa to South America, to our mountains that surround the Snowmass resort.”

So, mark your calendars and join ACES for an unforgettable winter filled with enthralling tales that will ignite your sense of adventure and leave you longing for your next great escapade. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, an avid traveller, or simply someone who loves a good story, the Wild Perspectives series promises to captivate, inspire, and transport you to the far reaches of the globe—all from the cosy confines of The Collective in Snowmass Village.
