If you have an Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, you may be interested in taking advantage of their ability to play games at 120 frames per second, which is a new level of performance for Xbox. However, not everyone can experience this feature. In order to do so, you will need a TV or monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate (or 100Hz if you’re in Europe), as well as a display with an HDMI 2.1 port if you also want to play at 4K resolution.
Games on Xbox Series X|S achieve 120FPS in two main ways. “FPS Boost” titles are games from previous Xbox eras that now have higher frame rates on the current-gen consoles. Alternatively, games that are “Optimized for Xbox Series X|S” have been built natively for these consoles.
There is a list of games that support 120FPS on Xbox Series X|S, including titles with FPS Boost and games optimized for these consoles:
– Alien Hominid HD
– Among Us
– Asphalt 9: Legends
– Black Desert
– Borderlands 3
– Bright Memory Infinite
– Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
– Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
– And more!
– Apex Legends
– Destiny 2 (Crucible)
– Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition
– Fortnite
– Gears 5 (Multiplayer)
– Minecraft Dungeons
– Overcooked! All You Can Eat

This list is continually expanding with the release of new games for Xbox Series X|S, and will be updated accordingly. If there are any games that have been overlooked, please let us know in the comments. With these games, you can experience gaming at 120 frames per second on your Xbox Series X|S.
