Winter Glow, the enchanted Christmas celebration nestled in the heart of the Three Counties, is simply over the moon after a record-breaking season, drawing in a multitude of merry visitors to the Three Counties Showground.

A true standout of Winter Glow was the dazzling light trail, declared the longest in the West Midlands by the talented team behind the magic, featuring a staggering 700 luminous fixtures. Crafted by a trio of gifted artists and light visionaries, all local to the area, the trail came to life with a mind-blowing 450,000 LED lights and an astonishing 16km of cable. To put it into perspective, that’s enough cable to stretch all the way from Malvern to Worcester!

But wait, there’s more! The event also flaunted a colossal ice rink, crafted from an astonishing 45 tonnes of ice – making it one of the region’s largest! Equipped with over 300 pairs of skates and 25 charming Beluga Whale skate aids for the little ones, families and friends were swept away in a magical whirl of gliding across the ice to the dulcet sounds of classic Christmas melodies, all under the mesmerizing glow of twinkling snowflakes.

At Winter Glow’s Christmas market, more than 40 local artisans unveiled their charming array of gifts, crafts, and delectable treats, along with a delightful food market that made taste buds sing with delight.

Chris Gage, the Senior Manager, couldn’t contain his elation at the event’s triumph, stating: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the event. This was our third Christmas at the Three Counties Showground, and it has been our most successful to date.”

He also added, “Being a small, family-run business, it really does take a village to create the magic of Winter Glow and, after taking the risk to launch a festive event during a pandemic, it’s incredible to see all the hard work of our production team paying off.”

“Our extended team of crew members have made this year possible, especially those who persevered through persistent bad weather to rebuild our light trail. Welcoming local families to make special Christmas memories is what it’s all about for us and we are proud to have brought something special to Malvern. After listening to our customer’s feedback, we’ve got some great ideas about how to make next year’s event even better and we can’t wait to reveal our plans later this year.”
