Exciting Farewell Event for UNJ Students Participating in Asia University Exchange Programs

The lobby of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) campus A buzzed with energy and anticipation as the farewell event for the students participating in The 2023 Asia University Exchange Summer Program (offline) and the Asia University internship program at UNJ unfolded.

On Friday, 28th July 2023, Prof. Ari Saptono, the Vice Rector for General and Financial Affairs, graced the event along with UNJ’s esteemed deans, vice deans, directors, and heads of departments. Standing in for the UNJ Rector, Prof. Ari Saptono expressed gratitude to the organizers and emphasized the significance of the UNJ and Asia University partnership, hoping for its continued growth towards becoming a World University.

The spotlight then turned to the students who participated in the exchange program, including Shiva Aliya Khalifah, Jonthan Abel, Trisya Michelle, Sherly Febriana, Karyn Olivia Marlen, Miranda Zakiya Aulia, Michelle Marieta Sarajar, Trisha Garota Manonsih, and Mochamad Daffa Dave Wipasca. Prof. Ari highlighted the invaluable opportunities for personal, social, and professional development and urged the students to make the most of their exchange experience.

The atmosphere then shifted as Benson, an Asia University student interning at UNJ, shared his remarkable journey of growth and learning. He spoke of overcoming shyness and embracing new experiences with the help of the warm and friendly Indonesian people. Michelle, known as Elle, also expressed her disbelief and excitement at being selected for an internship at Asia University, eagerly anticipating the new experiences and friendships to come.

The farewell event served as a heartwarming celebration of the upcoming adventures and learning opportunities for both UNJ students and visiting Asia University students. The connections forged through these programs mark the beginning of a new chapter filled with cultural exchange and personal growth.
