A 50-year-old man from New Paris finds himself in hot water after being accused of a heinous crime from 15 years ago. The name at the centre of it all? Aaron Cable. And let me tell you, he’s facing some serious charges.

It all began when the Indiana Department of Child Services received a call on October 1, 2022. The victim, now an adult, bravely came forward to share the trauma they endured at the hands of Cable in Elkhart County. Following this revelation, the adult had a heart-to-heart with law enforcement on October 4, 2022, exposing the painful truth.

According to court records, the victim disclosed that Cable’s despicable actions started in Pennsylvania and persisted even after their move to Elkhart County. Shockingly, Cable subjected them to inappropriate conduct on a weekly basis from 2005 to 2008. Simply unacceptable.

But the horror doesn’t end there. The adult also witnessed Cable’s inappropriate behaviour towards another child, who was four years their junior. To make matters worse, Cable warned the victim to keep quiet about the abuse. Disgusting, isn’t it?

Fast forward to October 7, 2022, Cable finally faced the music when he admitted to everything during his conversation with the police. He confessed to commencing the abuse in Pennsylvania and continued it in Elkhart County. He even acknowledged his inappropriate actions towards a second child. Not a good look for Cable.

Now for the latest update, Cable is currently a resident behind bars at the Elkhart County Correctional Complex following his booking on December 29, 2023. As if that wasn’t enough, his bail is set at a staggering $610,000. A grim reality indeed, Cable.
