Ansell’s foray into the world of tabletop gaming began in 1976 when he founded Asgard Miniatures, a company specializing in miniature figurines. Two years later, he partnered with Games Workshop to establish Citadel Miniatures, a collaboration that would lay the groundwork for the Warhammer series.
In 1983, alongside Richard Halliwell and Rick Priestley, Ansell introduced Warhammer Fantasy Battle, a groundbreaking game that would capture the attention of players worldwide.
