As William puts it, “I hustle because I have no support from family or friends behind these fences. I’m completely on my own.”

While William may be making some money, he acknowledges that in a different setting, he could be earning a lot more.

Despite the obstacles, artists persist, often bending the rules to do so. For them, the act of sharing their work with the outside world is what truly matters. It’s about preserving their humanity in a place that often feels dehumanising.
