This particular game will be broadcasted on Bally Sports North Extra, as part of a new agreement that covers all 24 of Minnesota’s regular-season games. Furthermore, all games can be streamed on the PWHL’s YouTube channel.

Both the Minnesota and Boston franchises are making their debut in the PWHL, with Minnesota holding their first home game at the Xcel Energy Center against Montreal. The season will consist of 12 home games and 12 away games for each team. The regular season opener was between New York and Toronto, and the season is scheduled to conclude in early May after a three-week break in late March due to the world championships.

The spotlight will be on Taylor Heise of Lake City as she makes her professional debut with Minnesota. As the PWHL’s top overall draft pick, General Manager Natalie Darwitz has high expectations for Heise, believing that she will have a significant impact on the ice and elevate the league’s level of play.

On the Boston team, players include four-time Olympian Hilary Knight, as well as Olympic gold medal winners Gigi Marvin and Hannah Brandt, both from Minnesota. Knight has an outstanding record with one gold and three silver Olympic medals, along with numerous gold and silver medals in world championship appearances for Team USA. She served as the captain of the Boston Pride for two Premier Hockey Federation seasons and was one of the founding members of the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association in 2019.

The stage is set for a fierce rivalry to develop between the two teams, as they are scheduled to face each other five times in the regular season. Fans can expect exciting matchups between these powerhouse PWHL teams as they compete for victory on the ice.

As the Minnesota vs. Boston PWHL game approaches, both fans and players are growing more excited. With Olympians on both teams, this game promises to showcase top-tier talent and an exciting display of elite women’s hockey.
