Teenager Charged with Arson After Fire at London Oratory School

On Wednesday morning, a conflagration erupted at the London Oratory School on Seagrave Road in Fulham, prompting the swift response of approximately 100 firefighters from the London Fire Brigade (LFB). Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the blaze was successfully contained by 11:47am. Nevertheless, as a precautionary measure, a nearby shopping centre and certain residential properties were evacuated.

The alleged individual responsible for the incident is a 16-year-old boy, whose identity is being withheld due to his age. He is set to appear at Highbury Youth Court to face charges of arson. It is worth noting that the school is situated in close proximity to Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium.

The London Oratory School boasts an impressive list of alumni, which includes esteemed personalities such as actor Simon Callow, trade unionist Mick Whelan, and the offspring of former prime minister Sir Tony Blair and former deputy prime minister Sir Nick Clegg.
