Attendees of the November 1st night session at the Paris-Bercy Masters were subjected to a delayed start time, resulting in inconvenience. In response, event organizers have announced plans to reimburse spectators for the trouble. Those who entered the venue at 10 pm instead of the scheduled 7:30 pm will receive half of the amount they spent on tickets for that specific Masters 1000 session.
The decision to compensate affected spectators was prompted by the unusual situation of matches running long, causing the night session to start at 10:35 pm and end close to 2:45 am. This posed logistical challenges for the audience, particularly in terms of transportation, as public transportation ceased operating after 1 am.
In acknowledgement of the “legitimate frustration” experienced by the spectators, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) has confirmed that a 50% refund will be automatically processed for the affected individuals. The organizers have also revealed plans to reduce the number of matches scheduled during the day session for the 2024 event to prevent similar delays from occurring again.
This proactive approach by event organizers demonstrates a commitment to address inconveniences and improve the overall experience for attendees.
