The esteemed Taylor Swift was in attendance at the London premiere of Beyoncé’s new film, “Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé”. The 33-year-old pop superstar demonstrated her support for the 42-year-old Beyoncé by gracing the premiere with her presence, and subsequently shared captivating images from the event on her Instagram account.
One of the photographs in Swift’s post captured a smiling and embracing moment between her and Beyoncé on the red carpet. The Grammy winner had adorned herself in a custom Thom Browne ensemble, while Beyoncé was resplendent in a shimmering sequin gown. Also featured in the post were pictures of Swift alongside her close friend, Blake Lively, who was clad in a Chanel blazer embellished with glitter.
In her accompanying caption, Swift conveyed her appreciation for Beyoncé’s invitation to London and urged her followers to experience “Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé”, which debuted in cinemas on Friday.
This occasion came little over a month after Beyoncé attended the Los Angeles premiere of Taylor Swift’s own film, “Eras Tour”. Swift used her Instagram platform to share a Boomerang clip of the two celebrities enjoying popcorn together, and composed a touching tribute to Beyoncé, expressing her gratitude for the artist’s influence and mentorship throughout her professional journey.
“Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé” had premieres in both London and L.A., with the latter attracting luminaries such as Kelly Rowland, Gabrielle Union, Janelle Monáe, Lupita Nyong’o, and Chloe and Halle Bailey. The film was officially released in cinemas worldwide on Friday.
Coinciding with the launch, Beyoncé also released a new single titled “My House”. The film, as per its official synopsis, delves into Beyoncé’s intent, diligence, and creative acumen in forging her legacy, and has garnered acclaim for providing a haven for freedom and joy for over 2.7 million admirers. Tickets for “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” are presently available for purchase.
In line with the film’s release, a PEOPLE Special Edition entitled “Beyoncé: The Renaissance Tour” will be sold on newsstands starting from December 15, and will be available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
