The Metropolitan Police is currently seeking witnesses to provide information following a serious altercation in Bethnal Green, which resulted in two individuals being stabbed. The incident occurred on Brick Lane, E1 at approximately 6:30am on the 25th of December, leading to a man and a woman in their 40s being hospitalized with stab wounds. Fortunately, both individuals are expected to make a full recovery from their injuries.
Reports indicate that the initial altercation, which ultimately led to the stabbings, took place around 5:30am on Code Street, E1. As part of the ongoing investigation, two men, aged 39 and 42, have been arrested and charged with Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) with intent, as well as drug-related offences. They are due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, the 27th of December.
The police are urging anyone with information relating to the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
