Lend a Helping Hand: Mission Valley Food Bank Needs You!

Are you seeking a purposeful way to spend your Tuesdays and Fridays? The Mission Valley Food Pantry has put out a call for volunteers to lend a helping hand to clients from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the pantry’s location on 203 Blaine. In addition, they are in need of plastic grocery bags, sturdy boxes, and cartons to aid in the distribution of food to those in need.

If this piques your interest, why not drop by the centre on Fridays and Tuesdays at noon, or on select Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. for a delightful meal? You can even request a takeaway meal by dialing 406-745-4462 before 10 a.m. and leaving a message.

Upcoming meals are set to include delectable dishes such as Salisbury steak on December 29, pizza on January 2, meatloaf on January 3, and cheesy ham and potato soup on January 5.

Feeling a bit despondent due to the winter weather? The centre is open to your suggestions for activities that can help uplift your spirits. Whether it’s a craft night or a movie night, they are eager to hear from you!

For only £10 a year, you can become a member of the Senior Citizen Center. And the best part? You can join regardless of your age.

If you fancy participating in a gentle yoga session on Wednesdays at 1 p.m., simply give them a ring at 406-253-0177. And for those who enjoy socializing, the Foot Hill Club gathers on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 1 p.m. for snacks and card games.

The centre also has personal care items available for sharing, and did you know that the facility is available for rental? For further details, feel free to give them a call at 406-745-4462 and leave a message.

In conclusion, let’s band together to show our support for the Mission Valley Food Bank and Senior Citizen Center. This is our opportunity to make a genuine difference in our community!
