Egypt’s Largest Agricultural Food Complex to Boost Economy and Create Thousands of Jobs

In a momentous collaboration, Elsewedy Industrial Development and MAFI for Agricultural Produce Industries have united their forces to create a colossal £300m agricultural food complex in Sadat City. This is not just any ordinary food processing plant – it is poised to become the largest and most diverse of its kind in the Middle East, ready to make a substantial impact on the Egyptian economy.

What’s the buzz all about surrounding this new complex? Well, to begin with, it will occupy an enormous 154,000 sqm of industrial land in Industria Sadat City. That’s equivalent to the size of over 21 football fields! It’s no surprise that Ahmed Elsewedy, President and CEO of Elsewedy Electric, is hailing this project as a game-changer for Egypt. He firmly believes that this colossal complex will export 80% of its products, propelling Egyptian industry to the forefront of global competitiveness.

MAFI’s Founder and Chairman, Ahmed Abou Hashima, echoed these sentiments, underlining the complex’s role in enhancing local agricultural resources through manufacturing. He is enthusiastic about utilizing state-of-the-art technology from major international companies to revolutionize the agricultural food sector. Moreover, Abou Hashima predicts that this ambitious project will generate over 7,000 direct and indirect jobs in the area, providing a much-needed boost to employment.

And let’s not overlook Mohamed AlKammah, CEO of Elsewedy Industrial Development, who views this as a golden opportunity to diversify industrial output in Sadat City. He takes pride in being at the forefront of such an innovative venture, particularly considering Elsewedy’s 15 years of experience in sustainable industrial development. Not to mention the pivotal role played by the Elsewedy Technical Academy in training a skilled workforce for such ambitious projects.

So, what can we anticipate from this colossal agricultural food complex? Five plants, each with a unique purpose. From orange concentrates to tomatoes, a variety of fruits, and essential oils – they will produce it all! And here’s the kicker – it won’t be just any ordinary facility. They will feature the Middle East’s first Cloudy Products plant and one of the world’s largest freeze-drying facilities. Just imagine the magnitude of innovation and production that will take place here!

With a plant dedicated to freezing fruits and vegetables, this complex is set to revolutionize Egypt’s agricultural food industry. The future looks promising with higher quality products and increased exports worldwide. It’s not just a victory for the companies involved – it’s a triumph for the economy, for job seekers, and for Egypt. The impact of this project is bound to be felt far and wide, and we are eagerly anticipating its unfoldment.
