A tragic incident has occurred in Bermondsey, leading to the premature passing of a 22-year-old woman. The events took place on Sunday, 24 December, when authorities were contacted at 22:03hrs concerning a young woman who had sustained a stab wound at a residence in Spenlow House on Jamaica Road, SE16. Despite the determined efforts of paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance in providing emergency first aid, the woman sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the scene, delivering a devastating blow to her family and loved ones.
Following this distressing occurrence, prompt and urgent investigations led to the arrest of a 16-year-old boy known to the victim. The teenager was apprehended in close proximity to the site shortly thereafter on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody at a south London station.
