If you’re on the lookout for a heart-warming, belly-filling experience, look no further than Midsomer Norton Methodist Church’s annual ‘Greet and Eat’ Christmas Lunch. On Tuesday, 12th December, the church opened its doors to over fifty people in search of a good meal and a jolly time.
Picture this: A succulent three-course roast turkey meal that tantalized the taste buds and filled the air with an aroma that whispered of warmth and comfort. And as if that wasn’t enough to get everyone in the festive spirit, the afternoon also featured some toe-tapping Carol Singing and an exciting Raffle.
But the best part? The event managed to raise a whopping £415 in profit, which will go straight to the SWALLOW Charity. This incredible organisation helps adults with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible, and we couldn’t be happier to support them.
It’s like something out of a fairy tale – two members of the SWALLOW Charity are part of the catering team that made the ‘Greet & Eat’ Christmas Lunch such a resounding success. It’s a heartwarming sight to see the community banding together to support each other, especially during the holiday season.
Feeling a bit left out and craving some mouth-watering, home-cooked delights? Fear not! The ‘Greet & Eat’ lunches are actually available on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. Simply give them a call at 01761 410450 to secure your spot at the table. It’s as easy as pie!
Here’s to a festive feast that not only fills our stomachs but also warms our hearts. After all, isn’t that what the holidays are all about?
Kathy Dymond, the driving force behind this heartwarming event, must be brimming with pride at the magic she and her team have woven. We can’t wait to see what other delectable treats and heartwarming moments the Midsomer Norton Methodist Church has up their sleeve.
So mark your calendars, spread the word, and get ready for a scrumptious adventure at the next ‘Greet & Eat’ lunch. Trust us, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!
